The PTLFC-AAUP-AFT Executive Board announces a call for self-nominations for twelve (12) seats on the Executive Board. The term for each seat is two (2) years.
These twelve seats include the following positions:
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- New Brunswick Vice President
- Camden Vice President
- Newark Vice President
- Five (5) at-large Executive Board positions
Each of the officer positions carry a small stipend. These stipends are subject to change under our new contract. The President and Vice President earn the equivalent of a course release for the Fall and Spring semesters at the base pay salary set in our current contract. All other officer’s positions (Secretary Treasurer, NB, Camden and Newark VPs) earn ¼ of a course for the Fall and Spring semesters.
Terms will commence on September 1, 2023.
The individuals who hold these seats will play critical roles in shaping the future of our union, and upholding the terms of our new contract. It’s important that we have new members from all three campuses, and from a variety of disciplines, represent adjunct faculty on our board. We hope all union members consider running for and serving in these positions.
Roles & Responsibilities of officers and at-large board members are outlined in our Bylaws.
PLEASE NOTE: In order to submit a self-nomination, an adjunct faculty person must be a union member in good standing (You must have taught as a dues paying member during at least one of the last two semesters). At-large representatives may be from any Rutgers campus. To be eligible for Campus Vice President you must teach on that campus. For example, the Camden Vice President should teach at Camden.
